Tim R. Karstetter was born in Oswego, Kansas and grew up in southeast Kansas at Cherryvale. He graduated from Pittsburg State University at Pittsburg, Kansas and Washburn School of Law in Topeka. Tim was admitted to the Kansas, State and Federal Bars in 1974 and began practicing in McPherson, Kansas, in September of that year as a solo practitioner. Tim was an Assistant McPherson County Attorney from January 1975 until January 1977, when he took office as McPherson County Attorney, subsequent to his election to that position. He served in that capacity until September, 1983. He and his wife Marlyn have four children.

John B. Klenda was born at Hillsboro, Kansas and raised on a farm near Pilsen, Kansas. He graduated from Emporia State University and obtained a masters degree in Public Administration fro mthe University of Kansas, graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 1980. John was admitted to the Kansas, State and Federal Bars in 1980. John was McPherson County Attorney from 1983-1985. He and his wife Pam have two children.

Tim and John formed the firm of Karstetter & Klenda in August, 1988.

Brian L. Bina was born at Marion, Kansas and grew up on a farm between Marion and Pilsen, Kansas. He graduated from Emporia State Unvirsity with a Bachelor of Science in Business-Accountancy Major and a minor in Political Science, and from Washburn University School of Law in 2011. Brian was admitted to the Kansas, State and Federal Bars in 2011.

While Karstetter & Klenda, L.L.C. is a firm engaged in the general practice of law, there are a number of areas which the firm emphasizes. The firm has tried hundreds of cases to juries and Courts. Commercial litigation, personal injury, domestic matters, real estate and wills and estates are some areas in which the firm practices.
